For team meetings, in person or remote
The 15-minute icebreaker
One laptop shares the game, everyone plays on their phone, and the team votes for the funniest answer to prompts like "Your robot vacuum just joined a union. What's its first demand?" The Family rating keeps it work-safe. It fits in 15 minutes, needs no accounts, and costs nothing.

Start it for your team
On a phone, START makes this phone the game screen: it shows the game and does not play.
START A GAMEThis screen shows the game: put it on the TV or share it on a call. Everyone plays on their own phone. Free, no accounts.
To play too, open
suckerpunchline.tv
on a laptop, TV or tablet and press START there.
No TV or laptop? Start here, then mirror this phone to a TV (AirPlay or Chromecast) or stand it up where everyone can see it.
3 to 8 players plus a crowd of up to 200. Alone or with one friend? AI fighters fill the ring.
The recipe
- Before the meeting (2 minutes)
Open suckerpunchline.tv on the laptop you present from and press START. Join first on your own phone, so you are the Show Runner. Pick the Family rating, and turn call-outs off if you would rather nobody gets named.
- Share the screen (1 minute)
In the room, put the laptop on the big screen. Remote, share the game tab with sound. Everyone scans the QR code or types the code. Sharing with sound on Zoom, Meet and Teams.
- Play one game (8 to 13 minutes)
Two rounds of bouts and the Main Event. The ring announcer explains the rules, so you do not have to. On a video call, set the timers to 1.5x for lag.
Why it works for a team
- Everyone participates at once. Nobody waits for their turn to talk; everyone writes at the same time and everyone votes.
- Answers are anonymous until the vote is in, so the quiet new hire can win on the joke alone.
- Nobody has to share anything personal. Prompts are about fridges, robots and pigeons, not your childhood.
- It scales. 3 to 8 people write; up to 200 more vote as the crowd.
Keeping it work-safe
The Family rating
Deals only prompts from the family-safe set, the ones written to work for a ten-year-old and a grandmother at the same table. The prompts about bosses, exes and roommates stay out.
Call-outs off
Some prompts name one player in the room and make up something silly about them. They are on by default. For coworkers, turn call-outs off in the lobby, or let each person pick Never on their own phone.
Swear filter and slur filter
Both on by default in the Family rating. They mask rude words in answers, and names never allow them.
The Show Runner
The organizer's phone can hide any answer on screen during a vote and remove a player at any time. That player's answers are hidden too.
Filters catch words, not tone. If your team has a history of edgy humor, say one sentence before you start: "Punch up, not at anyone here."
When it is a bad fit
- Not everyone has a phone or can use one in the meeting.
- The meeting is about bad news. Save it for another day.
- You need everyone to talk out loud. This is a typing game; pair it with a question to discuss afterwards.
